Tips for Infant/Toddler Swimming
Choose a Suitable Pool: Warm water (around 86–92°F or 30–33°C) is ideal for infants & ensure the pool meets hygiene and safety standards.
Use Proper Gear: Swim diapers to avoid accidents | Rash guards or swimsuits for comfort.
Stay Safe: Never leave your child unattended, even in shallow water. Be aware of signs of fatigue or cold.
Focus on Fun: Keep sessions short (20–30 minutes) and enjoyable. Avoid pressuring the child to perform specific tasks.
Be Patient: Every child adapts at their own pace. Celebrate small achievements.
Red Flags: Avoid swimming if your child is sick or has open wounds. Be cautious of swallowing large amounts of water, which can lead to secondary drowning (though rare).
